We have bought our own piece of heritage for use in the community and it is situated in Weston Road, Portland.
The telephone box was scheduled for removal in September 2018, however, we were determined to not let that happen!
The box is currently being used as a local information point. It holds tourist information leaflets, business cards and will be having an information board for advertising local events, places of interest and shows or entertainment that’s on in the vicinity. A special flower box was commissioned to be made by the local Man Shed on Portland and the phone box is regularly maintained by Claire Bool and her husband Nick.
